Since 2011, I've served as Director of Storytelling at the innovation strategy consulting firm Innosight, where I apply the principles of narrative to case studies, "impact story" videos, as well as articles for publication in places such as Harvard Business Review. I also edit the firm's Strategy & Innovation newsletter. Below is a recent impact story I produced as part of a collaboration between Innosight and the Eli Lilly Foundation.
How can you discover new solutions to giant challenges using collaborative thinking tools?
Multi-drug resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) is one of the world's major public health problems, with an estimated 500,000 new cases annually leading to more than 150,000 deaths. Lilly Foundation's MDR-TB Partnership recently asked Innosight to convene some of the world's top thinkers in global health and other fields for an ideation session using Innosight's integrative approach. The goal was to develop ideas that would address the significant distribution challenges of getting quality "second-line" drugs to victims in some of the poorest regions of the world.
